1 Year Builder’s Warranty / 11 Month Inspection

When you purchased your new home, your builder provided you with a warranty covering most components of the home for one full year. During this first year, you can develop a "punch list" of items you find for the builder to repair under the warranty. Some defects, however, will not be visible or obvious to the untrained eye. It is prudent to have the home professionally inspected about 11 months after the purchase to discover as many defects as possible. You will have peace of mind knowing that potential problems will be addressed before they grow into something costly for you to deal with down the road.
